The origins of the Albuquerques are immersed in the middle ages and were one of the most important noble families of Portugal, descended from King D. Dinis (the Ploughman King) and which took part in important names in Portuguese history as, for example, Afonso de Albuquerque, who was viceroy of India.

 

 

As Origens dos Albuquerques mergulham na Idade Média Peninsular e foram uma das mais importantes famílias nobres de Portugal, descendendo do Rei D. Dinis (o Rei Lavrador) e da qual fizeram parte nomes importantes na história portuguesa como, por exemplo, Afonso de Albuquerque, que foi vice-rei da Índia.
